REGISTRATION AND ORIENTATION SESSIONS

At the beginning of each semester, the Incoming and Mobility Office organises Registration and Orientation meetings in the differents Departments of the University of Siena for all exchange students in order to help them find their way around at the university. All exchange students must register their arrival during the Registration and Orientation meetings.

 

Content of the registration and orientation sessions:

  • Registration at the University of Siena
    In order to confirm your arrival, the registration in the orientation session is compulsory. 
     
  • Certificate of arrival
    The Incoming Mobility Office will fill out your Certificate of Arrival which confirms your registration. If required, the certificate of arrival will be sent to the Home University by email.
     
  • Issuing your student card
    Please note that student cards cannot be issued before the Orientation.

WELCOME WEEK

At the beginning of each semester the Incoming and Mobility Office with the Erasmus Siena Group (ESN Siena GES) organises the Welcome Week. The event allows exchange students to receive useful information about academic life, visit the university and the city, get to know the main university facilities and meet other students from different nationalities.

RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR STUDY PURPOSES

The request for the Residence Permit must be made within 8 working days from your arrival in Italy. The Residence Permit for study purposes allows you to carry out a part-time job for a maximum of 20 weekly hours and a yearly limit of 1,040 hours.
