CUG - Single Guarantee Committee for equal opportunities, promotion of workers' well-being and non-discrimination

The CUG promotes actions and initiatives aimed at ensuring equality and equal gender opportunities in every working environment, strengthening the protection of workers, and guaranteeing the fight against any form of violence and discrimination. It also promotes organizational well-being within the academic community, taking initiatives and making proposals aimed at improving productivity and the reconciliation of work and family life.

The Single Guarantee Committee (CUG) has been established pursuant to Article 57 of Legislative Decree no. 165 of 30 March 2001 and subsequent amendments, and art. 46 of the University Statute.

ACTIVITIES OF THE SINGLE GUARANTEE COMMITTEE

The CUG - Single Guarantee Committee for equal opportunities, the promotion of workers' well-being and against discrimination - is a body established in order to encourage and give concrete implementation to the principles of equality and equality for all those who work and study at the University of Siena.

The CUG unifies the main functions of the Committee for Equal Opportunities and the Joint Committee for the prevention of mobbing. In particular:

the CUG promotes actions and initiatives aimed at ensuring equality and equal gender opportunities in every working environment, strengthening the protection of workers, and guaranteeing the fight against any form of violence and discrimination.
It also promotes organizational well-being within the academic community, taking initiatives and making proposals aimed at improving productivity and the reconciliation of work and family life.
It has initiative-taking, advisory and verification tasks and works in collaboration with the University bodies for the matters within its competence.
organizes information and training events on gender policies and the culture of integration, also in collaboration with the CUG of the territory and with the national network of university CUGs.

The CUG is a joint body, i.e., formed by an equal number of representatives of the technical, administrative, and teaching staff and representatives designated by the trade unions and has been established pursuant to art. 21 of Law no. 4 November 2010 no.183.

For the administrative aspects, the CUG avails itself of the support of the Social Affairs Office at the Rectorate.

 

 

THREE-YEAR PLAN OF POSITIVE ACTIONS 2022/2024

The Three-Year Plan of Positive Actions (PAP) 2022/2024 is the program of initiatives designed by the CUG for this three-year period. The Plan was approved by the Board of Directors on January 28, 2022.
