How to enrol in the first year

Students admitted to the Doctoral Programmes (with or without scholarship) must present the request for enrolment no later than 30 September 2016 (failure to do so will result in loss of the place and any study grant). Enrolment must be completed online using the specific on-line enrolment procedure available at https://segreteriaonline.unisi.it  and following the “instructions for enrolment” available at www.unisi.it/ricerca/dottorati-di-ricerca  selecting the appropriate doctoral programme. Enrolment opens on 12 September 2016 and closes on 30 September 2016

Documents to be attached as an electronic copy during the online enrolment procedure:

If academic qualifications are obtained in Italy
  • Grant acceptance form (only for grant recipients);
  • Signed photocopy of identity card/passport and Italian fiscal code.

Grant recipients must also register with INPS (Italian National Social Security Institute) under the category “gestione separata”, following the instructions provided. 

 

if Academic qualifications are obtained abroad
  • Grant acceptance form (only for grant recipients who gained their academic qualification abroad);

  • Signed photocopy of identity card/passport and Italian fiscal code;

  • Original degree certificate or authenticated copy (if not already presented to the University) translated and legalized by an Italian Embassy/Consulate, including exams taken and grades. The certificate must be accompanied by a “Declaration of Value";

  • Copy of visa and copy of residence permit (for non-EU citizens);

Grant recipients must also register with INPS (Italian National Social Security Institute) under the category “gestione separata”, following the instructions provided.

Exemption

The following people are exempt from paying the regional tax and university enrolment fees:

1) disabled students with a recognized disability of at least 66%.

2) doctoral students who have been awarded a grant by the Regional Authority for Higher Education Grants (ARDSU Toscana) for the year 2016/2017, the announcement for which is visible on the webpage

3) doctoral students who have achieved a high enough place in the list in order of merit to be awarded a grant by the Regional Authority for Higher Education Grants (ARDSU Toscana) for the year 2016/2017.
