InternationalEU students with an European Health Insurance Card can use the public health service Azienda Sanitaria Locale.
You can choose a doctor for the entire period of your stay at the Front Office of the University, via Banchi di Sotto, 55 (Siena).
For appointments with a specialist go to the public health centre in via Pian d’Ovile, 9/11 (Siena).
Non EU students must take out a private insurance which covers healthcare in Italy.

Mon - Fri: 9.30 a.m. – 1.00 p.m.
Tues & Thurs also: 3.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.

(It is advisable to have a copy of the policy endorsed by an Italian Embassy or Consulate). You can also get private insurance in Italy from an Italian Insurance Company or you can voluntarily enrol with the Italian health service (Servizio Sanitario Nazionale).
