Disciplinary Board (students)

The University of Siena has already adopted, since 2019, its own Regulations on disciplinary sanctions to be imposed on students at the University.

The Regulations governs the procedure and the type of applicable sanctions.

In fact, with enrollment, university students become part of the academic community, acquiring a status from which the ownership of specific rights and obligations of behavior, defined by the University as a whole. Students enrolled in other universities, admitted to attend study courses or to use other educational activities, including exams, are also considered students even if they attend the university for a limited period of time (such as students on mobility programs).

Any illicit behavior in violation of the national and university regulations in force, of the Didactic Regulations, of the Code of Ethics and of the University or Departmental regulations, as well as of any rules of conduct dictated and made known by the University in the appropriate institutional form, will constitute a disciplinary offense.

The Regulations (provisions relating to disciplinary sanctions, reporting of the offense, contestation and terms of cross-examination, student rights, conclusion of the procedure and imposition of the sanction, etc.) is published and available for consultation on the University website at the link  https: / /www.unisi.it/node/14385 . The Regulations are accompanied by the Code of Ethics available at:  https://www.unisi.it/node/4995.

All disciplinary sanctions are recorded in the student's academic course of studies and are consequently transcribed in the leave sheets and in the course of studies recognition documents when taking the final exam for graduation.

The procedure for the possible imposition of a disciplinary sanction starts with the report sent to the Rector by teachers, students, or administrative staff, who have news of a sanctionable behavior.
