Sources, data collection, samples and cases in ethnographic contact and relations.
As a monographic part we shall concentrate our interests on the concept of "progress", "growth", stationarity and social evolution. How far we can make confidence on the spontaneous mechanisms of compatibility within a systemic complex of social, economic, symbolic and normative heritage?
A series o ethnographic cases of anthropological enquiry and interpretation , from the classical and from the more recent literature will be exploited in order to enlarge the comparative domain of our perspective.
Special attention will be assigned to several accredited topics, hypotheses, ideologies on the "primitive affluent society", "antiutilitaristic" principles, " "serene degrowth", and to their epistemological antecedents (substantivism, naturalism, ecologism : Polanyi, Bateson, Mauss), in a posture of critical debate, with the participation of the students and personal contribution to the common elaboration.
