The course consists of two parts. The first part of the course includes formal lectures relating to the problems arising from legal research and writing. In particular, one can mention: 1) the issues arising from thesis’ title; 2) the use of bibliographic and electronic databases; 3) how to do a thesis’ outline and summary; 4) legal language and arguments; 5) how to write a thesis’ bibliography.
In the second part of the course, students must put in practice the information and knowledge that they have achieved in the first part. They have to prepare a summary of their thesis and a short bibliography and to write a short essay in which all legal and logical techniques are applied. Each student’s work is going to be discussed by the class.
