Private Law
The course shall deal with the fundamentals of European and Italian financial markets regulation, with a focus on the regulation of investment services, public offerings, investment funds , markets, takeovers. Reference shall be made to the main European directives and legal texts concerning the financial market. The purpose of the course is to provide an overall view of the contents and scope of the EC regulation of financial markets. The knowledge acquired during the course is a part of the necessary curriculum for anybody wishing to operate in the world of financial institutions generally.
Regulation of intermediaries: Supervision, Investment Services, Collective Portfolio Management. Regulation of Markets and Central Depositories of Financial Instruments. Regulation of issuers: Solicitation of Public Savings: Public offering of financial instruments and financial products; Public offers to buy or exchange financial instruments.
