The course aims to guide the student to develop a critical dimension on the theme of existence. Starting from the phenomenological method we will try to help the student to develop an analysis on the meaning and significance of existence.
Course title: "Autobiography and Philosophical Diary: the phenomenological approach to the existential problem". Contents of the course: What is phenomenology and what are its main themes; what does it mean to analyze existence from a phenomenological point of view; what methods and what results. A part of the course will try to show the clinical application of phenomenological content on the topic of the meaning of existence.

Frontal lectures and discussion through reading, interpretation and analysis of philosophical passages. The skills to be achieved are: knowledge and theoretical understanding, ability to understand and problem solving skills, use of specialized language
Oral examination, consisting of questions on the main contents of the course, is aimed at ascertaining the knowledge of the student's critical and argumentative skills. Particular emphasis will be placed on expositive clarity, reading and comprehension skills, and the ability to distinguish methodologically the various approaches developed during the course.
Students are required to order books in time for the beginning of the semester.
