The first part of the course offers an overview of the governance of risk management processes within financial institutions. The overall issues to be studied are: interest rate risk of the banking book The Value at Risk and the trading book exposure in financial markets The funding and market liquidity risks The operational risk The reputational risk Risks and capital

The course is based on a mix of lectures, speeches from external guest speakers and case studies. The mix enables students to apply concepts to real-life situations and risk management applications.
Course Evaluation: Written exam Two written exam will be organized: the first in the mid of the course. The second at the end of the course.
