Learning objectives

Students at the end of the course will have to know the genetics underlying the process of determining sex and its differentiation in male and female sex, the main genetic defects that determine male and female infertility and the principles of PGD.

Contents

Genetic defects of sexual differentiation; Chromosomal translocations and poliabortivity; Genetics of male and female infertility; Genomic imprinting and related diseases; principles of Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
