Philosophy of history is today an outdated branch of philosophy owing to its providential and finalist roots. But from 1820 to 1830 the university lectures on philosophy of history from Berlin to Munich, from Vienna to Paris, were successful and popular: the philosophy of history was a fashionable discipline.
In Berlin Hegel's Lectures on the philosophy of history were very successful, and his ideas on history influenced philosophy and historiography.
A great, general vision of the historical course of Humanity will be considered.
