Knowledge of basic concepts of public law is required.
Knowledge of basic concept of private law is recommended.
Objectives of the course are:
- make the students able to understand the principles and the rules that concern the activity and organization of public administrations;
- make the student aware of the role that public administrations play in regulating economic activities.
The course examines the problems that concern the organization and the activity of the public administrations that regulate markets and economics activities.
More specifically, the 1st part of the course will include the study of the purposes of market regulation and of the principal organizational figures (political institutions, independent authorities, international organizations).
The second part of the course will be dedicated to the study of the legal instruments used by administrations to regulate markets (administrative procedure, public procurement, public companies, public goods).

Mid-term written exam; final oral exam.
For students who attend classes, the final oral exam can be replaced with the presentation in the classroom of a project work on a topic agreed with the teacher.
Active participation in the classroom allows students to acquire a bonus capable of increasing the final grade up to a maximum of 10%.
