The course intends to reconstruct, in the light of the most recent historiographic debate, the theoretical positions developed by Spinoza on the relationship between theology, politics and philosophy. At the end of the course the student will be able to identify, with specific historical references, the fundamental categories of Spinozist theological-political thought and place them in the context of seventeenth-century discussions. The student will be asked to deepen, through a written report, one of the following topics: a) the notion of prophecy in the TTP; b) S. and the question of miracles; c) philosophical hermeneutics and biblical exegesis in Spinoza; d) freedom of thought and religious freedom in S. e) politics and tolerance in Spinoza. In this report the student must demonstrate to be able to identify the most relevant conceptual nodes of the text under examination.
