The student’s level of preparation will be assessed by a single written exam which may be followed by an oral exam if necessary/required.
The written exam will consist of:
a) 10 closed-ended questions. Each correct answer will be given 1 point, each incorrect answer will decrease the score by 1/3 (one third) of a point, and 0 point will be assigned for each unanswered question.
b) 4 open questions, valued with different points (ranging from 3 to 6) depending on the question; the total amount of available points for the open questions will be set to 20 points.
It is possible – upon request by the student – to take also an oral exam, if the score of the written exam is at least 25 points.
The assigned time for the written exam is 50 minutes.
The intermediate exam (20 minutes time) consists of the closed-ended questions and of one open question, regarding a limited part of the syllabus. Those who take the intermediate exam take the next part of the exam (3 open questions) only in the January-February session and not more than once. The final mark is given by the sum of the intermediate exam’s score, and by that of the 3 open questions.
