Previous attendance at least at one of the following courses would be recommended: “Prehistoric Ecology” and “Prehistory: Environment and Culture” (SAEN).
Providing tools needed to interpret prehistoric stratigraphic series by learning methodologies used in Prehistory in order to gain good data collection and integration capacity, from a geo-archaeological viewpoint.
This course is concerned with the evolution of techno-cultural dynamics of human groups during Prehistory (from the Lower Palaeolithic to the Bronze age). These are explained through the description and analysis of the main stratigraphic sequences known in the Italian territory. Data collection methodologies and the role of scientific disciplines involved in the study and interpretation of prehistoric sites will be emphasized.
