This course addresses the basics of language and culture, taking into account the 3yy degree majoring field.

-Language: the alphabet, morphology of nouns and adjectives; the basics of syntax and main connectors; lexicon for the tasks of CEFR A1; the verbal system, past and present conjugations and some of the main irregularities.
-Culture:the Arabian Peninsula; nomads and sedentary people; the Ifriqiya province, North African people, bedouins and berbers; the culture and habit of raids in intertribal conflicts; some eminent tribes; the Islamic religion and its pillars; caliphs, imams, mufti, functions and roles; the meaning of "jihad"; some Koranic prescriptions; islamic rule and Law; mediterranean cities and islamic architecture.
