Knowledge and understanding skills. The student must acquire, with the support of advanced textbooks, the general concepts of health and disease and deepen the causes (etiology) and mechanisms (pathogenesis) leading to the disease. In particular, during the course, the main topics of General Pathology and Pathophysiology will be addressed, starting from the causes of the disease, to the study of inflammation, tumors and the pathophysiological alterations of the major organs and apparatuses with with particular reference to reproduction and its dysfunctions.
Applied knowledge and understanding skills. This is a basic course aimed at theoretical training. Nevertheless, the student has to acquire basic training knowledge that will enable him to understand the dynamics of disease processes by providing greater awareness and critical thinking skills when clinic and clinical practice are dealt with.
Ability to learn. The student must develop those learning abilities that will allow him to continue his subsequent studies with a high degree of autonomy.
