Requirements: 

The student must have acquired and assimilated basic knowledges on animal biology provided from courses of Zoology, General Biology, Comparative Anatomy, Physiology and Ecology.
The following concepts are relevant:
- Structural and functional organization of the cell, tissues and systems;
- Major divisions of the animal kingdom;
- Interactions between organisms (competition, predation and symbiotic relationships);
- Adaptation of organisms to different environmental factors and their role in the ecosystem
