The course aims at introducing the most important quantitative models for the analysis, valuation and management of financial assets, and gives the fundamental elements in the quantitative study of the finance of obligations. The study will have the opportunity to get to know the adequate terminology and concepts, with the aim of understanding and use the financial mathematics tools. The ability to describe and develop the basic models in finance, with particular emphasis on the management of the risk-return profile of a financial activity, will be stimulated. Simultaneously, the course develops the most important quantitative methodologies, that serve as basic knowledge for more advanced financial courses.
At the end of the course, the student will have to prove its ability to perform applications concerning the financial instruments studied, and to master the theoretical concepts touched in the course.
