Basic kowledge of contemporary history.
The course aims to develop students'ability in the knowledge of the relationships among science, race and ethics in contemporary age.
Course's title: Science, Race, Shoah.
The course will focus on the followuing topics: Social Darwinism, Racial theories, science and literature in Primo Levi
The course aims to illustrate the relationship among science, race and ethics. With particular reference to Primo Levi's concentrationary esperience. Auschwitz as a scientific experiment.

Oral presentation and final paper. Final grade will according to the following formula: exam 50%, oral exam 50%
