The course is aimed at providing basic knowledge concerning etiopathogenesis, pathophysiology, clinical pattern, differential diagnosis, and prognosis of diseases of gastrointestinal system.
Description of etiology, pathogenesis, pathophysiology and clinical pattern of the main diseases of gastroenterological interest
-Acute and chronic gastritis
-Inflammatory Bowel Disease
-Liver Steatosis and NASH
-Acute and chronic hepatitis (viral, toxin-induced, exogenous, autoimmune)
-Liver failure and hepatic coma

Lessons “ex cathedra”. Presentation of case reports including discussion of instrumental and laboratory data.
The test will consist on an oral examination on all the topics of the course, aimed at assessing not only the knowledge of the single diseases, but also the ability to integrate and connect the disorders of the different organs and systems.
