1. The entrance examination is based on an oral interview, with three professors (selected annually) of Medieval Art, Modern Art, and Contemporary Art, which aims to verify the applicant’s background content knowledge. 2. Successful candidates must demonstrate a good knowledge of artistic styles in history of art as well as a good critical approach. 3. The examination is organized in one or more sessions, and applicants who have not passed the first session can participate in the following session. 4. First cycle degree course graduates who have completed all prerequisites can take part in the examination, as can students close to graduation who have completed at least 120 credits overall, particularly in art history, by the examination date. 5. Students who pass the exam are admitted with reserve and may enrol if they complete their first cycle degree by the application deadline.
Direct Access 1.Applicants who possess the academic requirements are exempted from the admission test if they have completed a first cycle degree with a final exam mark of not less than 100/110, or when the final exam mark is below 27/30, if they have an average of at least 27/30 for the following Italian university courses: L-ART/01, L-ART/02, L-ART/03, L-ART/04, ICAR/15, ICAR/16, ICAR/18. 2. Second cycle degree course graduates possessing the curricular requirements are likewise exempted from the admission test. 3. Students who have completed all the required Italian university courses listed above by the date of the exam with an average of at least 27/30 are exempted. Students who have not yet completed these requirements may choose whether or not to take the exam; if they complete their degree by the application deadline with a final result of at least 100/110, they are admitted without examination.
